Is Rev Scribe free?

Yes. No account, no limits on templates or exports.

Is my audio private?

HD mode and file transcription run Whisper on your own device, so that audio is never uploaded. Live mode uses your browser's built-in speech recognition; in Chrome and Edge that service is run by the browser maker and may process audio on their servers. Transcripts are saved only in your browser.

Which browsers support Live mode?

Chrome, Edge and Safari (desktop and mobile). Firefox doesn't include live speech recognition — use HD mode there, which works in every modern browser.

Does it work offline?

Yes, after the HD model has downloaded once. Install the app and HD transcription, templates and exports keep working without a connection.
